Als opvolging van SECURA (25 tot 27 maart) waar de BES een hoorzitting georganiseerd had om de ergonomie meer zichtbaar en beter gekend te maken bij de ondernemingen volgt er een uitreksel uit een email van Belga Media Support : SECURA heeft aangetoond dat veiligheid en bescherming alle ondermeningen aanbelangt : ter gelegenheid van het laatste SECURA-salon in Brussel was het opvallend te constateren dat meer en meer ondernemingen zich interesseren voor het Welzijn, veiligheid en bescherming op het werk.  De organisatoren kunnen tevreden zijn van deze 7de editie.  Niet minder dan 7029 deelnemers zakten af naar de Brusselse Expo voor het grootste Belgische salon rond Veiligheid en beveiliging op het werk.  Opmerkelijk was ook dat een uitzonderlijk hoog aantal (742 bezoekers) deelnam aan een van de voordrachten die georganiseerd werden op dit salon.  Binnen het kader van de veiligheid was het voornamelijk de ergonomie die veel aandacht wegkaapte.  Meerdere ondernemingen worden zich bewust van het feit dat het optimaliseren van de werkomgeving en arbeidsomstandigheden kunnen bijdragen aan een hogere productiviteit, een vermindering van het abscenteïsme en een verlaging van het ongevallencijfer.

Suite du salon SECURA (25 au 27 mars 2009) où  la BES a organisé le jeudi 26 mars une conférence-atelier ayant pour but de rendre plus visible et de mieux définir  l'ergonomie aux personnes des entreprises.
Extrait d'un email adressé par Belga Media Support - Alerte e-mail: Le salon Secura montre que la sécurité et la protection concernent toutes les entreprises:  Lors du dernier salon Secura, qui s’est tenu à Bruxelles, il a été frappant de constater que de plus en plus d’entreprises s’intéressent davantage à la sécurité, à la protection et au bien-être au travail de leur personnel. Les organisateurs du salon Secura peuvent dès lors être satisfaits de cette 7e édition. Pas moins de 7029 personnes se sont rendues à Brussels Expo fin mars afin de visiter le plus grand salon belge sur le thème de « safety & security at work ». Il est à noter qu’un nombre exceptionnellement élevé de 742 visiteurs a également assisté à l’une des conférences données dans le cadre du salon. Dans la partie « safety », c’est principalement l’ergonomie qui a fait l’objet d’une très grande attention. De très nombreuses entreprises commencent à prendre conscience du fait que l’optimisation de l’environnement et des conditions de travail pour le personnel peut contribuer à une augmentation de la productivité, à une réduction de l’absentéisme pour cause de maladie et à une diminution des accidents.

TIJDSCHRIFT voor ERGONOMIE : vraagt naar publicaties :   Als iemand iets kwijt wil over een onderzoek, uit de praktijk, of over een boek, stuur een artikel in.  De afspraken en richtlijnen voor auteurs staan op www.ergonoom.nl

PRS ERGONOMIE PRIJS : (Pieter Rookmaaker Stichting) : De PRS ergonomieprijs is een 3-jaarlijkse prijs voor opvallende, waardevolle toepassingen van ergonomie.  Dit keer zal de prijs speciaal gericht zijn op praktische toepassingen waar 'fun' en 'functie' succesvol samenkomen.  Dat wil zeggen: de toepassing is functioneel in orde, en bovendien leuk en plezierig om mee om te gaan.
De prijs heeft een waarde van 2500€  De inzendingen moeten uiterlijk op 23 sep^tember 2009 binnen zijn.  De uitreiking is voor pktober.  (tijdens de europese maand van de ergonomie !)   zie www.PRSergonomieprijs.nl

Lundi 8 juin 2009: Séminaire BES/ARACT Lille-Nord Pas de Calais/CES - Partage d’expérience, lieu: Salle Masereel du SPF ETCS, Bruxelles (gare du midi),
Thème : L’action syndicale : quels sont les enjeux actuels de la formation en santé au travail des délégués CPPT (Belgique)/ CHSCT (France) ?
Contexte : Situation économique dégradée et position des organisations syndicales dans ce cadre, enjeux importants. Le but du séminaire est de mettre en évidence en quoi la formation à la santé au travail des délégués en anté/sécurité permet :
- premièrement, d’enrichir leur vision du travail ;
- deuxièmement, de constituer un outil de mobilisation du personnel (restitution des informations, participation des travailleurs, etc.) ;
- troisièmement, en quoi la formation en santé au travail peut-elle nourrir les revendications syndicales ?
Public : Restreint, 40 personnes maximum.

Le contenu tournerait autour des thèmes suivants: leur nouvelle organisation du travail  axée sur le "work everywhere" et le "wireless",  mobilier "BeNe" , nouvelle implantation "Flex Desk", visiste bien sûr des lieux de travail,  Ergonomie du Hardware (claviers, souris, etc.) et un volet de leur réflexion de l'ergonomie des softwares.

Studiedag 14 mei 2009, Onder de top van de ijsberg: de secundaire schade
Bij het afhandelen van menselijke schade liggen vanzelfsprekend de medische zorgen voorop, zodat het menselijk leed kan hersteld worden. Naast deze primaire schadelast is er natuurlijk ook de zorg voor het opvangen van de bijkomende vragen van slachtoffers. De vraag naar hulpmiddelen, aanpassingen, aansluitende ingrepen en dergelijke komt in alle vormen van schadebeheer voor en vormt voor alle betrokken personen (slachtoffers, dossierbeheerders, artsen, advocaten,…) een veel minder gemakkelijk te overzien probleem.

Report - Workplace exposure to vibration in Europe: an expert review , Author: European Agency for Safety and Health at Work , Publishing Date: 19.12.2008
One in three European workers is exposed to vibrations at work and for some sectors, such as construction at 63%, this figure is much higher. Although vibration is a long-standing and well-known risk, its importance has increased since the application of the vibration directive (2002/44/EC), which came into force on 6th July 2005. Enterprises, regulators and legislators face new challenges; measurement is complicated and risk assessment and reduction are not simple. This report brings together specialists from eight leading European institutes to produce an overview of the challenges facing the occupational safety and health community as regards management of occupational vibration risks. The situation in six Member States – Belgium, Germany, Spain, Finland, France and Poland – is examined, and research information is presented covering all Member States.

New Definitions on the IEA website: The IEA Executive Committee has been discussing an update to the definitions on the IEA website. Two new definitions have just been added.
An ergonomist is an individual whose knowledge and skills concern the analysis of human-system interaction and the design of the system in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.
An IEA-recognized Certified Ergonomist is a professional ergonomist whose practice and training have met the quality criteria set by an IEA-endorsed certifying body.
It is proposed to add further definitions relating to other ergonomists such as ergonomics educators. We welcome discussion from members on these definitions to enable the IEA Council to make informed decisions on future requirements.
 Meeting IEA with Pieter Rookmaaker, President of FEES.During the NVvE conference I met with Pieter Rookmaaker and also Jan Dul and Kamiel Vanwonterghem to discuss the activities of this important Network of Ergonomics Societies in Europe. Their extensive work in providing ergonomics input into the European political debates was discussed. FEES will be hosting an important conference in Brugge, Belgium on the 10; 10; 10 (10th October 2010). This conference will be linked to the European Parliament focus on Ageing and is targeted to engage politicians and Government staff to consider the ergonomics research outcomes in their deliberations. This is a significant initiative from FEES and I urge all Societies to support this conference.
